If Necessary, Use Words
There has been a quote said many times that I have heard a lot in the last while. The quote goes "Teach the gospel at all times and if necessary use words." Now that is interesting, how do we teach the gospel without using words. President Monson of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, often in conference will tell stories about the experiences that he has been through. Yet you might think that a prophet would rather teach the people the words they need to know and not just stories. But if really think about it, Some of the best writers have a knack of showing the story in their words instead of just saying them. By using examples of how to live the gospel, President Monsons paints us a picture of how we need to live our lives and the way that we can teach others the gospel by even just using our actions. Maybe our efforts to teach people about the gospel of Christ might be better aided by showing how to live it by our actions to others than just by our words of how to live it.
